Finder Expose tip

Read and try this Exposé Finder hint. I am among those who cannot get it to work with Finder windows in Column view. A very odd bug.
My suggestion for improvement:
Rather than seemingly any non-modifier key bringing forward only the topmost Finder window, the 1 key brings forward the top window, 2 brings forward the next, 3…, etc.
This creates some relationship between the window stacking order and the key to bring them forward.
