eWeek mentions (“Israel Government Picks Open-Source Productivity Suite Over Microsoft”) that the Israeli government is not purchasing any new Microsoft Office products and is working with Sun and IBM on the Hebrew version of OpenOffice.org. Congrats to the OOo team!

I am looking for a package to replace Word. a friend recommended to try openoffice.
I am willing to explain my needs; and would like to obtain the proper recommendations.
My PC works, primarily, in English; though, a hebrew package is needed.
