Please note that doing “the right thing for the consumer” is not necessary in any area Microsoft dominates.

If Apple does reach some agreement with the iPod-wannabes about allowing iTMS files to work with their devices, fine. I’m not opposed to the idea of being able to use any device with the store, but Microsoft complaining about the limitation of consumer choice is the height of hypocrisy.
