An expandable sheet for filing new bookmarks could be useful.

  1. The current sheet with a few modifications:
    • I switched the locations of the Notes field and Location pop-up to make for a smoother transition to the expanded sheet. This also more accurately reflects my mental progression through the filing process, but I may be in the minority.
    • Removed the default button since the Notes field allows the user to use the Return key. The current implementation may simply be a bug…
  2. An expanded view that allows for more option settings and easier navigation:
    • Allow the user to specify a keyword and checking interval.
    • Navigate collections using an interface similar to the Personal Bookmarks window rather than the somewhat clumsy pop-up menu. To save space, the Collections pane would display only those which were directly user writable. The Shared Bookmarks, Address Book, Unreachable, and Unviewed collections would be hidden, among others.

Notes

  • The circular button at the top right is the expand/collapse button placeholder.
  • I forgot to add the “New bookmark folder” button to the expanded view.
