Both sides can take their calls for unity and shove them. I will not compromise my principles to unite with supporters of the administration of fear simply because we happen to live in the same country. I have little or nothing in common with those who live their lives constantly afraid that terrorists are around every corner and that gay and lesbian Americans might one day have the same rights they do.

I wash my hands of any concerns about the detrimental effects of this election on those who voted for Bush and the Republican platform.

  1. After the furore of last week, I’m pretty much burned out on the whole thing as well. Sod all them that want unity. You cant work the most divisive campaign in years (BOTH SIDES) and expect to kiss and make nice afterward.

  2. I love the fact that pretty much all the states (and Washington, D.C.) with targets toward the top of the list that a terrorist would actually want to hit (New York, California, Illinois, Massachusetts) voted Kerry, and the states that wouldn’t likely ever be targeted (that’s you, Wyoming, Nebraska, the Dakotas, etc) all voted Bush… Another interesting observation is that the states with highest average IQs all went Kerry, while the lowest IQ states went to Bush…

Those that voted Bush definitely deserve whatever they get. Four more years! For more fears! Four more years!
