A Few Pins in Tackboard

Tackboard is a simple way for designers and clients to post and review screen compositions.
Registration
Ideally, the Username field would have no character type or case limitations. If there are technical reasons for their existence, the limitations should be communicated to the user before they input invalid characters and consequently run into the error screen. A text blurb beneath the field noting the limitations would suffice.
My Projects
- Displaying the section title below the navigation is unnecessarily duplicative. I suggest using the light blue color and a slightly larger font size for the active nav link.
- Drop Project, titling the column with just Name. I suppose I’m a minimalist…
- The View command functionality is moved to the name of the project. View is likely to be the most used of the Actions, so it should be closer to the main navigation links and far away from Delete.
- Using red as the hover color for the Delete link serves as a reminder of the potential danger of clicking it, particularly since there is no deletion confirmation. I do not recommend using it as the static color because some studies have found that users are naturally attracted to red interface elements.
Miscellaneous Suggestions
- Provide a Rich Text editor (FCKeditor is an LGPLed option) to allow description text styling without having to know HTML. Clients, in particular, are not likely to know how to apply inline CSS.
- Pleasant, not pleasent. :-)
