Sales Loss

Both Apple and customers lose:

  • Apple hinders the purchasing of their software.
  • Customers wanting multiple packages have to complete multiple ordering and installation processes.

Aversion Therapy

Unlike the similar menu in the Finder, Mail’s “Open With” menu does not display the version number if multiple copies of an application are available:

EditTextEdit

The layout of TextEdit’s Preferences window is somewhat erratic and the labels are left-aligned. On the left, the Preferences window as of version 1.4, and on the right, my bigger, better layout.
