I recently used Color Schemer Pro to choose colors that would contrast without becoming garish or overly visually prominent — important data charting considerations.

The File menu could be renamed Scheme; the application’s conceptual focus is on color schemes, not files.

I like the simplicity of Overflow, which I learned of from Gus Mueller.

Rather than starting completely empty, guaranteeing that the user will have to add items, why not pre-populate a category with their default browser, e-mail client, and 5 recent applications? Let users dive right into the application instead of forcing them to first configure [...]

It seems impossible to buy plain denim jeans in this city. I don’t want pre-faded, pre-scuffed, permanently wrinkled, or otherwise counterfeited jeans.
Hipsters: please bathe. Seriously.
The 24-hour subway beats Seattle’s Metro bus system. Going out for a late meal is much easier here in part because of the transportation infrastructure (decrepit as it is in places).
